I am convinced that most people look terrible in jumpsuits... Or maybe it's like bras, where most women are in the wrong bra size, most women have not found the right fit in a jumpsuit. For years, I fell into this group of women - despite loving this style. I always felt jumpsuits were tricky to wear; if the proportions were even a little off, they could make the wearer look like she was trapped in a sausage. Even with all these misgivings, I always try jumpsuits on when I see them in stores hoping to find my style unicorn. (Style Unicorn: rare, mythical creature otherwise known as the jumpsuit that makes a woman look not only slimmer, but more stylish.) On a recent shopping trip to Old Navy, I found it. This black blouson waist jumpsuit is exactly what I have always searched for. Not to short in the torso with a fabric that does not cling to my body. It. Was. Perfect. I styled it with a long, floral kimono, simple jewelry, and my sequined flats. Polished this look off with my new sunnies for a look that had me channeling my inner boho goddess.
Jumpsuit: Old Navy. Kimono: Behind the Glass. Flats: Lucky Brand. Sunnies: Loft. Bag: Target.
