"Hold your horses now, sleep until the sun goes down. Through the woods we ran, deep into the mountain sound." - Of Monsters and Men, Mountain Sound
After spending the last week in Hawaii, it was definitely strange coming back to Fall weather in Little Rock. While being home was great, the Fall weather here means Fall clothes -- which are my favorite. I like the deeper tones, the richer fabrics, and the fact that I can layer pieces without feeling like I'm going to die from heat stroke. At the beginning of the season, I try to take stock of what colors I have a lot of and what colors seem to be in trend at the moment. This helps me avoid ending up with repeats of what I already own and look very of the moment by just adding a few pieces. Ironically, I got some great cold weather looks while I was in Hawaii! This navy and mustard swing dress is a perfect for the transitional period and the alternating horizontal and vertical stripes are very flattering.
Side Note: I actually love how the last picture turned out even though it is out of focus. Something really fun about it.
