The Playlist

After the outfit, the second most important part of my blog posts are the lyrics that go with them. I try to choose songs that go with how I am feeling, the location of the shoot, and the mood I'm trying to set with the look I've picked that day. This is not always easy, as I tend to overthink things and have seriously eclectic musical tastes.

Having said that, I think music is almost as personal as apparel. My outfit can tell you what's in my heart and my music can tell you the words I'm too afraid to say. I truly enjoy curating the playlist that accompanies this blog and I want to share that experience with you. I have added a link to Obsessions of a Fashion Nerd The Playlist, which I created using Spotify. If you have an account, follow the playlist! I will update it whenever I post a new entry. (Also feel free to check out what I'm listening to these days. You might find a new obsession.) Happy listening!!

Obsessions of a Fashion Nerd

For those of you who do not have Spotify, I will try to update this page with YouTube links to the official videos of songs I use. I will try to post only artist approved lyric videos or official music videos, so fingers crossed that all the songs are available.

Hurricane, Mister-wives

Mountain Sound, Of Monsters and Men

Lurk, The Neighbourhood ** Ok, so this one is not an official video. It's my one exception because both the user video and the song are exceptional.

Nothing to No One, Gin Wigmore

Thousand Eyes, Of Monsters and Men ** To be really honest, this video kind of freaks me out. It's the official lyric video, but I wish it weren't. Feel free to listen to the from another place.

Wherever I Go, OneRepublic

Alive Tonight, Grace Potter ** The quality on this one is a little gritty, but it honestly makes me feel like I'm in the crowd, which I love.

Changing of the Season, Two Door Cinema Club

Back 2 U feat. Walk The Moon, Steve Aoki & Boehm

Twenty-Somethings, Judah and the Lion

Rearview, Bad Suns

Revolvers, Armors

 Conscious, Broods

Burning Doves, Mikky Ekko

Whispering, Alex Clare

Be Your Love, Bishop Briggs

Shadow Preachers, Zella Day

Wild Sun, The Strumbellas

Run Wild, Coleman Hell

Daft Pretty Boys, Bad Suns

Tonight, Magic Man

Stole the Show, Parson James

Chandelier, B.o.B (Feat. Lauriana Mae)

Palace, Hayley Kiyoko

Everlong (Acoustic), Foo Fighters

Holy Ghost, Borns ** Ok this version is without a doubt different than the album version, but I think it is cooler. I like that he is able to walk up and belt it out.

Cold Desert, Kings of Leon ** Not an official video, but I do not believe one was ever made. If you know of one, feel free to correct me.

First Time, Kygo & Ellie Goulding

Bad, Bad, Bad, LANY ** Pronounced Lah-nee

Shelter, MachineHeart **So MachineHeart opened for LANY at a show I went to and I fell in love. They are not as well known, so I was not able to find an official video. I still recommend checking out their EP.

Enjoy the Ride, Krewella

Devil In Me, Halsey
